Sun shines on car-free Sunday

The annual car-free Sunday in more than 20 cities and towns across Belgium was a huge success. The good weather contributed to a large turnout everywhere, with thousands of people flocking to city centres for a unique pedestrians-only experience. Brussels had an especially successful 11th edition of the event, with police reporting “the best edition ever” because people were duly informed, resulting in fewer stray cars and more pedestrians.
