Summer farm jobs

Sorry I do not know of any websites or job portals. however I come from a holiday town, and I know summer jobs are simply cards put in windows. it is more or less a matter of first person who applies and is reasonable gets the job. I imagine it is the same for farms. you would have to turn up at the farm and ask if they would need someone. could I point out a lot of fruit is not ready for picking until September. so eg apple farms would not be suitable for the summer. strawberries, tomatoes, would be ripe in the summer
