Study Spaces helps out Brussels students

11:03 06/06/2014

For Brussels students cramming for exams between now and July 4, a quiet place to study can be hard to come by. Br(ik, a service desk that helps students prepare for their exams, therefore launched Study Spaces, to provide additional space to students at a time when the campus libraries are overcrowded.

Br(ik is the initiator behind Study Spaces for the third year in a row, offering additional places to study in Muntpunt, as well as in six community centres across the city. The Br(ik team will even provide free coffee and other services during crunch time.

This year, in addition to Muntpunt, students can visit the following six community centres: De Zeyp in Ganshoren, De Kroon in Sint-Agatha-Berchem, Ten Weyngaert in Forest, Essegem in Jette, De Rinck in Anderlecht and Elzenhof in Ixelles.

Around 200 students a day come to study in Muntpunt, while there are a total of 250 study places available. The various community centres also have plenty of space, with so far only about a dozen students showing up every day to study.

Br(ik has more pop-up actions up its sleeve during the exam period, such as sending out cleaning crews to student housing and offering free lunches and energy drinks to students.
