STIB launches public transport love story contest
The Brussels public transport authority STIB is taking submissions for a new contest, inviting couples who met while using public transport in Brussels to submit their stories for a chance to win a wedding party or gourmet dinner on the Tram Experience, writes Brusselnieuws.
With Valentine's Day on the horizon, STIB created the competition for commuters who bumped into their loved one while riding the bus, tram or metro. "With 370 million trips a year, chances are you'll come across the man or woman of your life on public transport," STIB spokesperson An Van hamme told the news website.
STIB also hopes to boost its image with the feel-good contest. People are invited to share their stories until 23 February on loveline.mivb.be.
A jury will select the most moving and original story to receive at least 20 'likes' via the site, and the winning couple will win either a wedding- or dinner party on the Tram Experience, a four-course meal for 34 people inside a designer tram as it weaves its way through the capital. Participants also have the chance to win a bouquet of flowers every day.
