STIB - Can you pay cash on the bus?

Question

Son will be visiting Brussels for a day -- can you buy a ticket on teh bus with cash? Or do you have to go to a kiosk? - Been on teh STIB website and only mentions kiosks and "Go"

Costs €2,50 for a single-trip ticket on the vehicle. This is the only type of ticket you can buy on board, and the drivers don't have change for more than €5.

If he's wanting a 1-day ticket, you need to buy them from a machine or a kiosk.

Buy a ticket yourself and stick it in the post if you're really that concerned about his most basic survival skills.
