Sponge rubber/Foam rubber
I want to refurbish some seating which is filled with large blocks of sponge/foam rubber but which is now very sad indeed.
Has anyone any idea where I can buy this? I checked out the places which I thought likely – Gamma/Hubo/Brico – but none of them seem to stock it.
Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

depending on how handy you are with a sharp knife, most bed/mattress shops (eg Le Roi du Matelas at Pl. Fernand Coq in Ixelles) sell 180cm X 90cm foam mattresses for about EUR50. Chop that up and there you go....
In Rue de Brabant there are a couple of shop selling these items.

I reupholstered a set of dining chairs about 8 years ago and had foam cushions for them cut at a small 'factory' in Zoning Nord, Wavre near La Bawette golf club.
The Zoning is on both sides of the N road and going from Wavre to Brussels is the section on the right.
I'm sorry I can't remmber the name of the outfit, but they were extremely helpful and not expensive.
