Question

i am selling a property in england and the buyers solicitor is insisting i sign certain papers in front of an english solicitor is this possible here in belgium or do i have to return i would prefer not to have to return to england as i have many work commitments i would be greatfull for any advice thankyou

When we sold in the UK we had to return for a day to sign all the papers at the solicitors. We asked if we could give my husbands parents 'power of attorney' but it was not allowed - you may have no option but to return to the UK and sign everything there.
