The Belgian railway company SNCB/NMBS is filing a claim of between €17- and €26million against Italian train manufacturer AnsaldoBreda for the failure of the would-be high-speed train Fyra, write Belgian dailies De Tijd and L'Echo. SNCB/NMBS has decided to sue AnsaldoBreda in the Dutch court in Utrecht for damages incurred by the company as a result of the defective trains. SNCB/NMBS has already been reimbursed for all advances paid on the three Fyra trains it ordered, a total of €37million.
