SNCB seeks new designer for 4,000 uniforms

21:21 02/04/2018

Aspiring fashion designers take note: Belgium's rail operator is looking for a new uniform for its 4,000 staff.

The SNCB has begun the tender process to find a new wardrobe designer and supplier responsible for kitting out train attendants, station managers and ticket-office staff.

The current SNCB uniform dates back to 2010 and was a €6.8 million contract won by Belgian designer Olivier Strelli.

"The current contract ends in 2020 and it's time to renew the uniforms to meet the SNCB's new style," said spokesman Dimitri Temmerman.
