Skiing

Question

What would be a good travel-agency to arrange a 3-4 day ski-vacation?

What are the buss-operators we should know about?

Whics resorts are best for beginners.

-----------------------

We are 4 absolute beginners, and want a monitor who speaks French and English.

We also need equimpent to be quickly arranged.

I

I absolutely WOULD NOT take a skiing package like the ones people in the UK pay for, most TOs' prices are masses more than if you organised your own holiday. If you want as much arranged for you as possible, look up www.ucpa.fr - simple accommodation, tuition, ski passes, on-site ski hire, meals. You could book on line, or if you want some personal advice on booking, Action Sport in WSP are Belgian agents for this French organisation. UCPA do beginners packages to Vars and Argentiere-Chamonix for 4 days from 240 euro nclusive (there are 5 areas, I am guessing beginners don't start in Argentiere itself but are bused to easier areas in the valley on the same ski pass). Argentiere is accessible from about 100 euro by plane to Geneva then train to Argentiere, via Martigny, or by train - could go via Germany + Switzerland or France. No idea of how to get to Vars.
