Six pedestrians hit by bus outside Central Station

A pedestrian remains in a critical condition after a Stib bus hit six people outside Brussels Central station during the Friday evening rush hour.

The number 63 bus mounted the pavement on Rue des Colonies, next to a metro station entrance. According to an initial report from investigators, the driver had swerved suddenly to avoid hitting a car that had cut in front of the bus.

According to RTL, both the bus and car driver tested negative for drugs and alcohol. Both were released after questioning.
