Six more women come forward in taxi rapes
Six more women have come forward with allegations of sexual assault at the hands of men posing as taxi drivers. This comes only days after Brussels prosecutors’ announcement that 23 other women say they too were victims of rape by apparent taxi drivers who took them into Bois de la Cambre/ Ter Kameren Wood. Prosecutors say they believe that the assaults were carried-out by three to four men, who picked up their victims in the city posing as legitimate taxi drivers before driving to the secluded woods.
The news of more victims has police and prosecutors urging others to come forward who may have been attacked, or witnessed something that could assist in the investigation. So far police have detained one suspect after reports say one of the women identified the man.
