Question

Hi all, I am looking for some elp with Belgian rental law. I am living in Brussels and I have a 1 year rental contract that has a special provision, that it can be terminated early with 2 months notice. Now I have heard that the notice period in Belgium is always 3 months and I am asking myself if that applies for my contract as well, even though I have a special provision? Thanks for any responses!

You signed the contract as it is. Live with it. One year will pass very fast. 2 months gives you time to find alternative accommodation in the unlikely event the landlord decides to impose those terms. Fighting any legal battle will cost a fortune and you are unlikely to win.
