Hello...will the shops be open in Germany on Monday August 15th? Doing a general search on the internet, I found conflicting information as to whether August 15th is a holiday in Germany or not. Thanks.

The reason that you get the conflict is that it is a catholic holiday and so some of the areas have it and some dont. If you are going to bavaria then it is a holiday. if you are going to Frankfurt then it is not.
