Considered one of the best guitarists in Mali, Samba Touré grew up in the Timbuktu region. It perpetuates the immense legendary musical heritage of Ali Farka Touré, "king of African blues", who died in 2006.
With Ali Farka Touré, Samba has traveled the world discovering multiple musical trends that he combines with the style of West Africa. The result: an eclectic, experimental and unique sound with which he is unanimous and which has won over a large audience in his native country and everywhere else. After the success of 'Wande', Samba Touré pays homage to his roots and to Songhaï music with his new album 'Binga' (Glitterbeat). Sometimes referred to narrowly as "desert blues", it actually features a large number of different styles and artists. With his powerful and refined groove, Samba wants to convey to his audience the very essence of Songhai music. What he sublimates with the master ngoni Djimé Sissoko and the great Souleymane Kane on percussion.
