Rights of employees after redundancy

Question

I have been sent (not yet received) a letter of dismissal from my company (Belgian contract). I have a permanent contract and imagine have been given the obligatory (3-month?) notice.

Can anyone advise on what my rights are from now on (for example if I find a job, can I leave tomorrow?) or where I can find information about this as well as unemployment benefits?

Thanks

Were you still in trial period?

Leaving before the end of ure employment depends on if ure employer wants u till the end of 3 months or whatever the period is or they are ok that you leave early. Up till then and during ure notice period the company must send you for additional training if you request it. This is as part of improving ure skills for the next job. Also they must give you 1 day/wk or 2 half days/wk for a job interviews. Also you can negotiate other benefits but that depends on you.
