Q&A traffic before and after

Question

It has been about three weeks since registration was started on Xpats. Here are some statistics comparing counts from Monday 19 Sept to counts on Monday 5 Sept. The sample size is small from a statistical point of view, but manually counting one week before and one week after is too much. I might even have made some mistakes in some of the counts below. It is probably possible to obtain accurate counts easily from the admin side.

The number of questions dropped from 68 to 18 (74% drop).
The total number of answers dropped from 280 to 26 (91% drop).
The average number of answers per question dropped from 4.1 to 1.4 (66% drop).
The percentage of unanswered questions increased about two and a half fold from 12% to 28%.

The Xpats staff pointed out a few day ago that they had about 800 registrations and that registrations are expected to increase with time. However, at some stage they will plateau. During weekdays 8, 9 and 12 Sept (I’m always excluding the weekend), the daily questions were 16, 15 and 27 (average 19). Later on, during the weekdays from 19 to 23 September, the number of daily posts were, consecutively, 18, 18, 16, 13 and 11 (average 15). That does not mean that there is a decrease, but there is certainly no indication of any increase.

I post this without comment.

Do you think there is a perceptible improvement in the quality of posts? I do.
