PROXIMUS TV alternatives?
Three free options in Belgium include the following (but I doubt they'll cover your football needs). They all also have paying channels, which will possibly include your football. You'll have to look around at what is available on each, and pay for a bouquet of channels that includes what you need.
Digitial Terrestrial broadcasts via TNT , You need a TV aerial.

Satellite Braodcasts via "TéléSAT Numérique" , you need a satellite dish
http://www.telesat.be/ A variety of station packs, but again, you need to check what channels you want.
UK FreeSat channels - Again, you need a dish, and you either have to have a UK address, or have a professional here set it up for you, where they will get the kit and card for you. http://www.freesat.co.uk/
All of these will work with an "old" TV, you plug the decoder box into your TV. Usually through a SCART connector. If your TV is that old it doesn't have a SCART, then you can also connect using an analog coaxial connector, but it will depend on the decoder box. Newer ones have phased out coaxial connections, and the newest don't even have SCART connectors, just an HDMI connection. So you'll just have to shop around.
There are also ways to get pretty much any channel you like on your PC via the internet for free, which ultimately you can put onto your TV, but it will largely depend on how much of a techie you are, and if you're asking here, then you probably aren't.
Anon, you do not need a card for UK Freesat, nor do you need a professional to set it up for you unless you are dead unhandy.
It's cheap and easy to order Freesat boxes - almost all the Humax ones are great - from the UK. You do not need a UK address, you just need to input any valid postcode.
Watch out for the fact that newer Freesat PVRs, like the Humax 1100S, do not have SCART connectors - you need an HDMI capable TV.
"CM" thanks for the correction. I was writing it a bit fast and thinking about my Sky box.
As for the setup, yes, it's relatively easy, but unless you have some DIY skills, it's unlikely that you could do it properly. You have to get cable, connectors, attach and align the dish, run the cables etc. I did mine, but I'm also of an age that I know how to do tasks like changing an electrical plug, or putting up a shelf. You'd be amazed at how many people can't.
Is there any system where I could get both Telesat and UK Freesat from one box & dish?
