Prop for the washing line

Question

Where can I purchase a prop for a washing line please? I have been searching for months and no joy yet! Many thanks

kasseistamper

My line prop is a long, 3 to 4 cms square piece of wood with a groove cut in one end to take the washing line. How hard can it be to make one?

Not hard at all really, but would like to buy one with an extendable option that a wooden one won't have. Thanks for your suggestion anyway, I'll look out for some wood.

Go to Brico to the painting section. They have extendable poles for attaching paint rollers to. You just need to attach a small hook or something similar to the end to hold your line.

Thanks Anon, good idea. Will look at those when we next go to Brico.

Not to put a spanner in the works, but in some parts at least in Belguim it is illegal to hang washing outside where it can be seen by neighbours, certainly in the cities. Perhaps that is why you cannot buy the poles ???????
I may be wrong and if so stand corrected but I do know that in Ixelles and Schaerbeek it is illegal.
