Hi Suzie. I think it depends cost wise on the profwasuonal but usually if you have a precritpion from your GP its possible to claim at least part back i believe. Most mutuelles will give you this information on the phone if you call them.

All medical professionals in Belgium are free to charge whatever they think the market will bear, subject to charging a legal minimum.
All mutuelles refund the same amount for the same procedure and this is set by law. How much you pay is irrelevant.
You can find the refund rates on www.riziv.be which is in Dutch but has a link to the French equivalent.
From memory of visiting a kine more than 20 years ago, the refund is slightly higher if you are referred by your doctor/specialist so it might be worth checking whether that is still the case.
