Possible fraud !!!! Help !!!!

Question

Hey, if someone purchases something (not from amazon) but services (like domestic services, etc) in your name and you get the "unexpected" bill is this a case of fraud or potential fraud?

Also if you discover that someone has applied for a loan or credit card in your name, got copies of your id, letters with your address on and you have discovered the application forms etc and there is something that is "your" signature but you know that it is not your "signature" again is this fraud or potential fraud?

Thanks ! interested in replies !

This is not fraud but is certainly illegal, however finding out who has done this is not easy.
If you haven't ordered anything, then don't pay for it.
Keep note of everything any names, dates etc
If it continues, this needs to be reported to police.

If someone is buying / signing for stuff claiming to be you, then it most certainly is fraud. Contact the police.

Reading post again, if a person is purchasing items for themselves in your or any other persons name, then that is fraud:
The Law:
Fraud must be proved by showing that the defendant's actions involved five separate elements: (1) a false statement of a material fact,(2) knowledge on the part of the defendant that the statement is untrue, (3) intent on the part of the defendant to deceive the alleged victim, (4) justifiable reliance by the alleged victim on the statement, and (5) injury to the alleged victim as a result

Report to Police!

If someone applies for a credit card or a loan pretending to be you and forges your signature on the application, of course it's a criminal act. You should report this to the police ASAP and also report it to the credit card/loan company so that they can also press charges against this person, after all they are the victims of this fraud as well.

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet and fraud by any other name is equally vile. What you describe can probably be prosecuted, if there is proof, on several legal grounds.
