Pensions for EU civil servants

Currently it's a final salary pension scheme if you do your full service and don't take early retirement. Like many civil servants, we are having our pensions reformed though and will contribute more, retire later (dependent on age upon entry into service) and receive less. Most likely the final salary thing will be phased out and replaced with an average salary. The reforms are currently being negotiated through the Council and EP, so are likely to still change.
