Peeters and Jambon to speak at British Chamber of Commerce
Two federal ministers are guests of the British ambassador to Belgium, HE Alison Rose, for an English-language briefing, open to members of the public.
On 23 November, the guest for The Ambassador Hosts series, organised by the British Chamber of Commerce, is former Flemish minister-president Kris Peeters, now federal minister for labour and consumer affairs. Peeters (pictured) will give a lunchtime talk about planned labour market reforms in Belgium, his vision on how to fuel social dialogue and how the federal government plans to bridge the gap between employer federations and trade unions.
On 15 December, the breakfast briefing will be delivered by Jan Jambon, federal minister for home affairs. Jambon will talk about the role of business in police and immigration-related tasks, the importance of a robust security response to threats to a safe working environment and the role of data and personal information in security.
Both speakers will take questions from those present. The briefings are held at the offices of the British Chamber of Commerce in Bischoffsheimlaan on Brussels inner ring road. The fee is €55 for members and €70 for non-members and interested parties can register online.
