Parking permit prior to registration in town hall

Question

Hello All,

I'm new in Brussels and brought my car with me.

I have an appointment for registration at the town hall for March 2018. Does anyone know if in the meantime I can get a parking permit? Waiting for all these months to park my car close to my home for free seems like a very long time.

If you have something like a rental agreement proving your address, it should be OK. The parking permit is called "Carte de Riverain", you have to check the conditions to get it in your commune.
