PaperBack Books

Question

Anyone know of a second hand paperback book shop who buys used books, I have a stack in the loft.

This is a fairly regularly asked question so you might try to search back for previous answers.
A common suggestion is Pele Mele with branches in Waterloo and near Anneessens Metro in Bxl. My experience with them is that they prefer newly published books in good condition and are not particularly generous.
I'm an avid reader and always on the lookout for books. Depending on what you have on offer we might be able to do a deal. You can contact me at kasseistamper (at) yahoo (dot) co (dot) uk.

Cirage there is a charity book sale at stone manor twice a year the next one is in June you can pop them there if you simply want rid. All profits are donated to serve the city. Selling used books isn't so simple for what I have heard unless you have them in near mint condition

As the poster above says, Pele Mele near annessens (head south, on the right).

Evasions on rue du Midi (go round the back of the Bourse building, head south, about 200m on the right side on a corner.

Nijinski somewhere near the tram stop Trinité near avenue Louise.

There's another one on place Beguinage, but I cant remember the name.

I pared down a pretty decent sized library and dealt with all of hem. They're all very strict on condition, but the one on Beguinage and Nijinski will buy older books as long as they're "classics". The guy at Beguinage boutgh almost all the Paul Scott novels I had. Also, they pay a better price than the other two.

Evasions are slightly less strict about condition, but limit themselves to post 1990s approx books. Pay better than Pele Mele.

Lastly Pele Mele, the least picky of all, but pay the worst prices.
