Ordering from Hong Kong.

Hi all, I wonder has anyone any experience in ordering something from Hong Kong. I am looking to order a Canon flash from a shop in Hong Kong, good price) They say they will package it as a normal gift and it will come regular post so will avoid customs and will be quoted as low value. Do you think this is safe.? I did get caught before in the Uk with something from the States as it came with Ups. I really want to get this flash as i cannot find a good price anywhere.
