Omnipas - De Lijn
Does anyone know exactly how these work? For the last few years my commune always sent me a free annual ticket which just looked like a regular 10 ticket STIB and was easy to use. This year, as I will be 65, I have received a Omnipas from DeLijn directly. Strangely it appears to be called Omnipas 25+ - although lower down is does say 65+. However, I am not at all sure whether it has to be validated in some way - have tried checking their website but still unclear. Anyone got any idea? Thanks
There has been some confusion with the issuing of new 65+ passes - mine expired last year but remains valid until the new format is decided.
As for using it, I just show it to the driver when I get on a bus and that's it. Although it's issued by DeLijn, it is valid on all public transport in the country except trains for which you have to buy a Seniors ticket each time you travel.
Since May 1st 2013 the Omnipas 65+ De Lijn is no longer valid on STIB/ MIVB or TEC. ..
