Normal service resumes at Brussels Airport

11:31 17/05/2013

Normal service has resumed at Brussels Airport, spokesman Jan Van der Cruysse announced this morning. Staff at handling company Swissport resumed work last night after four days of strike action, protesting against staff shortages leading to increased pressure on workers. Brussels Airport said yesterday that it would take a few days before all travellers were reunited with their luggage. Van der Cruysse has also urged passengers not to go to the airport to retrieve it themselves. “They will be contacted,” he said. Passenger luggage was being handled normally this morning.
