Noise at night
Right now it's almost 3 AM and I am kept awake by a band of road workers who are laying out asphalt on the street where I live. They are using heavy equipment to flatten the asphalt and it is not only incredibly noisy, but it also makes a shaky undercurrent that can be felt throughout my flat.
My q is, Is this really permissible? What would happen if somebody called police? I understand if these guys have a job to do, but this is antisocial to the extreme - and it looks like they will be here the rest of the week...
For them to be able to do such work they would need permission to do so. Also, all neighbouring houses should have been informed by a message through their door that this would be happening
May it be that the notice was binned because it couldn't be understood?
Report the noise if it will make you happy but it will all be in vain.
