Pocket Poney Concerts: The Genesis

This concert is a plunge with no return to Paola's origins: Italy. Specifically, Paola shares with the audience codes and behaviour, poetry and cinema from the deep South: Sicily. She sings her own musical compositions written in a modern Sicilian dialect and merges them with dance, theatre and performance acts to give the audience the opportunity to come into contact with a world of colours, flavours and traditions that would otherwise be absolutely inaccessible because it is too different from the culture of northern Europe and above all from the globalised culture of more industrialised geographic areas. She: the peasant and the 'prima donna', gives life to a celebration of folklore in a personal, feminine, pop and humorous key.
