Expat financial investments: Join The Bulletin and ING at a free seminar in Brussels on 4 April

20:02 19/03/2019

Whatever you do with your money, there are consequences. If, after providing for yourself and your loved-ones, you're lucky enough to still have money left over, now might be the time to think about investing.

The Bulletin, the British Chamber of Commerce and ING invite you to a free seminar in English on Thursday 4 April that will help you understand financial investments as an expat, with some essential tips and tricks - as well as information on the pitfalls to avoid.

You need to know who you are as an investor before deciding how to allocate your money to different classes of assets. What do you know about the different financial products? What is your experience with them, and how would you react to a fall in the value of an asset?

It is also important to understand the tax implications of your financial investments in Belgium in an international context. As automatic international financial information exchange between countries is widespread, omissions are not only easily noticed but can also be costly.

The free ING event will include a presentation on Belgian and international tax regulations, and the impact of the international information exchange (CRS of the OECD) plus a FATCA update. The seminar will be followed by a Q&A session.

This is your opportunity to gain exclusive insight from tax and investments experts, get valuable advice in managing your investments efficiently and profitably and ask your questions.

Doors open at 17.30 with the conference starting at 18.00 sharp, followed by a drinks reception from 19.30. The event is free, but advance registration is essential.
