Two Belgians aboard hijacked EgyptAir plane

Among the passengers of the hijacked EgyptAir aircraft, which landed this morning at Larnaca airport in Cyprus, were two Belgians, report Belgian media.

EgyptAir Flight MS181 was taken over by a passenger named by Cypriot officials as Seif Eldin Mustafa. The man claimed to be wearing explosives, but has since surrendered. Some reports say that his motives were personal, and that he wanted to talk to his ex-wife who lives in Cyprus.

The hijacker surrendered today after a morning of high tension and uncertainty. None of the passengers or crew were injured.
