New Tintin gallery opens in Sablon

14:48 16/10/2016

Brussels on Saturday welcomed the opening of a new gallery entirely dedicated to Tintin. The gallery, located on Grand Sablon square, is first and foremost a tribute to the legacy of Hergé, the Belgian creator of the famous comic series, writes Bruzz.

The new gallery is not only a tribute but also a specialty store for collectors and a promotional tool for the Hergé Museum in Louvain-la-Neuve.

"Tintin and Hergé are real Brussels locals and part of the city heritage. Many European tourists find their way to the Sablon, especially at the weekend, making this the ideal location to promote the museum," says promoter Yifei Tchang, who is also manager of the Tintin gift shop on the Grand Place.

The gallery distinguishes itself from the gift shop by focusing on unique and artistic pieces, including lithographs and sculptures. "All products are manufactured in Belgium or Europe by talented artisans," Tchang told Bruzz.

The gallery also sells an extensive collection of Tintin books and comic books in several languages.
