Mutuelles entitlement after retirement

Question

I have a friend who worked in Belgium for 28 years after which she was employed by an international organisation with private insurance. Does anyone know whether she is, after all her contributions, entitled now after retirement to Mutuelle cover? Would like guidance before she starts to make enquiries.

I suspect that there is very little chance of you finding someone who has been in the same situation and who can, therefore, give a guaranteed correct answer.
However, I am retired and have had no problem with getting mutuelle cover for which I pay €18.00 a quarter.
If I was your friend I would approach her former mutuelle and take their advice. My mutuelle has consultation hours for a wide range of topics at their local offices at least monthly; I would be surprised if other mutuelles do not offer a similar service.
Good luck
