Moving recommendations

Question

We are moving a short distance in Uccle (from 1 small apartment to another, less than 1k away). However, our current apartment is on the top floor and the windows on the street side are skylight style, so I don't think a moving lift is possible to use? I think we will need to carry everything down the stairs (4 flights) so we are looking for movers to help. Any recommendations for people who are affordable and reliable?
Thank you!

If you do a search on this site you will find some recommendations. I recently used Scholts and found them professional and friendly. However, be aware that their time starts from the moment their van leaves its depot, not when it arrives at your apartment. And they charged me an extra half hour at the end to return to their depot (even though they were in actual fact going on to another removal job). So check all this before you commit. In addition, it took over 20mins just to erect the external lift. I ended up with a higher bill than I had budgeted for. If you are doing your own packing and not bothered by insurance etc. you could also consider "a man with a van". There's usually ads on this site for such services. Good luck.

Avoid Ark Holdings / 24-7 Movers International (same company) VAT / BTW: BE0837 712 784, Owner: Robert Adam Kasozi. http://www.arkholdings.biz/

They stole our things and out money. We just found out they declared bankruptcy and are still operating in Belgium with the same VAT!

Good luck
