Monday 2nd November - Holiday?

Question

From what I can make out, tomorrow, Monday 2nd Nov, is not a public/bank holiday? Am I correct?

And if I am I take it that banks will be processing payments as usual, communes will be open, syndicats etc to?

You are correct - 2nd Nov, is not a public/bank holiday.
However, you cannot assume that any given business will not be taking Monday in lieu of Sunday as there are no hard and fast rules. For example, my commune is closed as is my nearest supermarket.

Kasseistamper is right, the 2nd of November is neither a public nor a bank holiday.

However, the private sector is obligated by law to grant all ten yearly public holidays to their employees and standard practice for many firms is that any public holidays that are on a weekend day (such as the 1st of November) simply get moved to the following Monday. It is therefore quite possible that some places will be closed depending on the custom/labor agreement in place. I would advise you to simply check the website of any place that you're thinking of visiting.
