Mole removal

Question

Hi all,

about 3 weeks ago I had a mole removal at Ste Elisabeth hospital. The doctor removed the mole on my back through excision and then she used dissolvable stitches. She told me not to remove the tegaderm bandage that she placed on my wound for 2 weeks. And that after two weeks, I can get someone to cut away the knot of the stitches. Here comes the problem. There was a big patch of blood on the pad and I felt uncomfortable not to change it so I called the doctor and asked for advice. She said I could remove it if I want. So, I went to a pharmacy to buy a bottle of lotion for disinfection and the tegaderm dressing. When I removed the dressing that she had placed earlier on, I realised that there was a small pus near at the side of the wound. On top of that, my skin had a bad reaction to tegaderm film and I had something that looked like rash/pimples. I called the doctor again and she asked me to go back to her but she could only see me for 5 minutes as she was busy. So I waited for her for around an hour when she finally called me in. She removed the dressing when I was standing up and used a needle to remove the pus. After which, she gave me a new dressing and demanded me to pay the consultation fees which I was dismay. Firstly, it was her who asked me to go back and she only saw me for like 5 minutes? And I feel that it is a doctor's responsibility to follow-up if there is a problem.

It has been 3 weeks since I did the operation. I changed my dressing every 2 days but I could not do with it as the end of the stitches will get stuck to my clothing if I do not wear a dressing. I told my husband to help me cut the knot of the stitches like what the doctor instructed but he did not know how to do it. Do you think I should go back to the same doctor (which I am a bit reluctant) or find another dermatologist. Any recommendations?
