Mobile internet improving in Belgium
Belgium
10:24 27/08/2013
The quality of mobile internet service has improved significantly in Belgium in the past few years, according to consumer organisation Test-Achats. Proximus continues to offer the best quality, while Base recently surpassed Mobistar. Overall network coverage for mobile internet has also improved, says Test-Achats, which clocked up 1,600 km by car and 760 km by train in order to measure signal quality. According to the organisation, 3G coverage and transmission speeds have gone up for all providers country-wide. Proximus, however, continues to lead, with an average mobile network speed that is three times higher than that of Mobistar. Base moves up to second place, with a rate twice as high as that of Mobistar.

It is a great shame that many of the internet service providers in Belgium still cost a fortune compared to other EU Member State countries (France is less than €15 per month) and despite the EU rules and regulations informing Belgium internet service providers to decrease the charges. Still more room for improvement for a reliable service to be offered at a more economical cost to the consumer.
I don’t think this is actually accurate. And about Proximus, I don’t think they are actually providing the service flawlessly or with any greater speed than they used to. But if they are planning to raise the speed, it is indeed a good thing.
