Midi Station Parking - any cheaper Options
Yesterday I realised the day rate for parking in Brussels Zuid/Midi station for the Thalys or Eurostar has risen to €28.. it seems to increase every 3 months. It's now to my knowledge to most expensive place to put your car in Brussels.
Anyhow as my queries directly to Q-Park have gone unanswered I was wondering if any one knows of a alternative parking place within a short (5 min) walking distance of the Gare?.
Unfortunately public transport is not a particularly viable option for me coming in from Vlaams Brabant for the 6.57 departure to London.. it's either car or taxi.. both of which have reached extortionate levels.
There are trains from several areas which do reach gare du Midi for 6.30, many of the staff in the station use them to get to work. you could look into driving to one of the stations with such a train.

It depends on where in Vlaams Brabant you are travelling from, but there are also STIB buses and metros which make it into gare du Midi in time. You could park somewhere else in Brussels and take the bus or metro.

No there's no alternative parking, other than on street parking in gare du Midi area.
