Medical Invoice Query

Question

We have today received an invoice to our UK address for medical services that took place in Belgium two years ago. Does anyone know if there is a rule/deadline by which we should have received the invoice before now? Just wondering whether we have to pay it or not due to their delay in sending it (ethically I know we should and we will but if we should have received it before now and they have made a mistake by forgetting to send it, it would be nice if we don't have to ).

Thank you in advance.

If you have dared to leave the country without having paid all your bills, you are probably filed as a bad payer at the NBB (National Bank of Belgium).

Second, a lot of suppliers in Belgium don't hesitate to hire international debt collectors to get their money back.

Yes, it can take years to find you, but once they have found you, they will never stop unless they get their bills paid!
