Mazout

Question

We are looking to move out of Brussels and are currently weighing up the pros and cons of Waterloo or the countryside around Lasne. One of the cons about the countryside is that we may have to have oil central heating. A house we are keen to look at has Mazout and the agent reckons it uses between 1,500 ad 2000 litres a year but I have no idea what that equates to in terms of money. A google search didn't really answer the question. How much does Mazout cost approximately at the moment? And for people that have experienced Mazout and Gas heating over here, is Mazout hugely more expensive to run? TIA

You can get it for less (although not much)

If your boiler is older than 10 years old, then if you own, you should consider buying a new one, or if renting, tell the landlord you'll need a new one before you move in.
