Maternity Care
I have just found out that I am pregnant and am hoping someone could recommend a gynecologist/doctor/medical centre I can visit. I live in Schaerbeek, near Merode. I have basic health insurance and I am looking into additional packages but most importantly I want to go for an initial consultation. Any recommendations?
Nearest hospitals are St Michel (Cliniques de l'Europe) or Cliniques St Luc-UCL. At St Luc, you have British Dr Hutchings, but don't expect him to do the delivery, chances are he'll not be there, but you could do all the initial consultations with him. There will be other English speakers at St Michel too, plenty of anglophones have their babies there. Can't see the need to go anywhere else. An alternative is midwifery led care which is quite rare but possible, Bolle Buik are one such group of midwives who speak English.
