Le Neuf Gallery presents a selection of Manu De Mey’s most recent work.

You will discover a series of ambiguous portraits (paintings and drawings), mostly women. You are not sure if they are looking at a victim or an offender, at a master or a slave. But even in their most vulnerable expression, there is a strength that gets through their suppressed, controlled emotions. For sure, you can feel something is happening, deep inside of them.

The artist knows their story. But he will not share it with you. He deliberately wants you to discover your own interpretation and emotions when getting connected to these often damaged, but beautiful souls.
