Man stabbed to death in Bruges

A 19-year-old man was stabbed to death on Bruges’s main square around 5.00 on Friday morning. Police are searching for two suspects in the case. The crime was picked up by a tourist webcam that streams live images of the square over the internet.

The victim was immediately transferred to hospital, but has since died from his injuries. Part of the square is closed to the public while forensic agents investigate.

Police are looking for the two assailants, and the prosecutor's office is expected to distribute a description of the perpetrators today based on the webcam's footage of the incident.
