Man loses legs under train in Ostend

A 29-year-old man from Namur was seriously injured Sunday night at the train station of Ostend when he ended up under a train and lost both his legs. The accident occurred around 1.00, shortly after the last train from Eupen hadarrived at platform 3. The victim was drunk and seated at the edge of the platform about 50 meters from the end of the tracks, where it is forbidden to enter. He had a bottle of liquor on him and did not notice when the empty train left the station to head for the stabling point.
