Maison Antoine regains title of Brussels' best chip stand

The new-look Maison Antoine on Etterbeek's Place Jourdan has regained the title of Brussels' best chip stand, according to the now-traditional end-of-year poll by RTBF and BX1.

Antoine is back on top, with 41% of the vote, after losing out to Chez Jef in Neder-Over-Heembeek for the past two years.

Jef, who can be found on Place Peter Benoît, is second this year with 29%. Frit'Flagey in Ixelles remained in third position on 13%.

The results are based on a public vote by 32,000 RTBF radio listeners and viewers of local television channel BX1.

Maison Antoine moved into its newly built premises last December, as part of a major redesign of Place Jourdan. The chip stand had been operating out of a portakabin for most of 2017 while its old home was demolished.
