Lovely places to live if working in Jette
I'm not familiar with the Jette area but you could get in touch with the BCT
http://bctbelgium.org . I'm sure members of the local group would have some useful info .. good luck!
We moved to Jette last year from Schaarbeek and love it... lots of green, open spaces, cheaper property relative to other Brussels communes, good schools, good amenities and improving transport infrastructure with a new tram line now being built.
The Jardin de Jette area is a development of houses and apartment buildings near the UZ Brussel hospital and lots of forests and parks.
I'd also recommend the are around Brugmann hospital.
I second that -- Jette is great. Convenient for shops (including good grocery stores in the vicinity), parks, not far to the motorway by car or the centre by public transport. Unknown by much of the "international set" of Brussels who get a glazed look if you mention anywhere west of the canal, which is another bonus, imho!
Also the most efficient and pleasant commune (local administration) that I know of in Brussels, and I've lived in a few of them and heard about the others.
