Looking for kids activities/home ed groups
We,ve just found out that our 4yr olds teacher is pregnant so will not be starting the new school year in september. In her place they are putting a teacher that I will not have teach my child on any condition.
So i am left with two options keep her at home for the year or let her sit a number of tests to see if she can go up a year.
I'm looking into the kind of activities i can do with her during school hours. I'd really like some kind of gym/dance class as she is very active. Does anyone know of any such classes or are they all in after school hours. We are in Mechelen but i'm happy to come to brussels/antwerp. Classes can be in flemish or English.
I'm also interested in any Home Ed groups which might be out there.

Officially four year olds are not obliged to go to school yet in flemish schools anyway, I mean school is not mandatory, until the year before they will go to elementary or when they turn 6 (when they have to have 185 half days present at school). So you could keep her at home without having her do all the tests to go a year higher. Change schools?
You simply won't find anything in school time, other than BCT groups, 95% of 4 year olds go to school,
Schooling is not mandatory until PRIMARY year, the year your children turns 6, not the year before.
Why you don't like the new teacher, obviously is something important if it makes you skip a year, maybe other parents should be concern?
why don't you try the new teacher from morning til 12h00? and see how your child feels about the new teacher, leave her to judge not you
