K-Classical concert by young Korean musicians in Antwerp on 8 November

10:24 03/11/2025

Young Korean artists Dayoon You (violin), Sejune Kim (viola), Woochan Jeong (cello) and Youl Sun (piano) perform works by Mozart, Fauré and Brahms in a Benelux concert tour this month.

In addition to their appearance at AMUZ on 8 November, they also play at Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam on 4 November, the Korean Cultural Center on 6 November and the Philharmonie Luxembourg in the city of Luxembourg on 11 November.

The tour is a rare occasion where four soloists, all laureates of major competitions, gather to present the talent and future of K-Classic to European audiences. They unite to create a flawless ensemble and a profound musical dialogue that transcends their individual brilliance.

The programme for this tour explores the narrative beauty of music through piano quartets by three classical masters:  Mozart’s Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, K. 478; Fauré’s Piano Quartet No. 1 in C minor, Op. 15; and Brahms’ Piano Quartet No. 3 in C minor, Op. 60.

These works are masterpieces in which the composers poured their most intimate thoughts and emotions, with every single note becoming a powerful piece of storytelling that reaches the audience. The music, transcending time, will be reborn through the fresh perspective of these young artists, delivering an even more vivid and moving experience.
