ISF Waterloo is first Google for Education school in Belgium

11:08 22/05/2015

ISF Waterloo, an international school south of Brussels, has officially ‘gone Google’, equipping all of its classrooms with digital, interactive whiteboards. All of the school’s teachers are now Google Certified, each completing more than 100 hours of online tutorials and passing Google’s rigorous examinations.

“To ignite a passion for learning, and to equip our students for the 21st Century, last September we introduced the newest educational technology to support our curriculum,” announced head of school Belinda Yates in a press release.

Google for Education is cloud-based, which brings real advantages compared to other learning platforms, such as the fact that users can access everything from anywhere at any time and from any device.

“Students love using these devices, which motivate them to think out of the box,” according to Yates. “Although books, pens and paper will always play a key role in our school, technology has become one of the main ingredients in our recipe for learning.”
